The Wonderful World of Giclee

A giclee is an elegant, state-of-the-art reproduction that gives a vibrant colour rendition of an original painting. The giclee process enables the faithful reflection of the vivid colour, rich detail, and lush texture of the original work.

The term giclee is French for "fine spray". Millions of droplets of ink are sprayed onto fine archival paper or canvas. Whether fine archival art paper or canvas is used, the end result is always the same: a beautifully reproduced work of art with the look and feel of the original painting.

Giclee prints are produced one at a time. Each one is inspected, signed by the artist, and then numbered. The Evans Gallery and Framing is the Okanagan Valley's Premiere Giclee Gallery, representing most major international publishers.

Following are a few of the many artists whose work is available as a Giclee or offset Lithograph, on paper or canvas, through The Evans Gallery and Framing: Robert Bateman, Carl Brenders, Trisha Romance, Carol Evans, James Christensen, Stephen Lyman, William Phillps, Cassandra Christensen Barney, June Carey, Paul Landry, Dean Morrissey, John Weiss, Terry Isaac, Terry Redlin, Richard McDiarmid, Robert Jones, Liz Mitten Ryan, Judy Larson, John Seerey-Lester, Bev Doolittle, and many more.

Among the publishers The Evans Gallery and Framing proudly represents are the following: The Greenwich Workshop, Hadley House, Trisha Romance's Artist Garden, Millpond Press, and Carol Evans' Dayspring Studio.
