APPRAISING YOUR ART COLLECTION FOR INSURANCE PURPOSES

         It is a good idea to have your art collection appraised each year, especially if your collection contains original work or limited edition prints from well known artists. 

         We base our appraisals, if possible, on work that is currently offered in the marketplace.  Framing appraisals are based on an examination of the framing material used and the replacement cost for a frame of similar quality.   If the appraisal of any work is beyond our expertise, we will refer you to someone who will be able to give you a realistic and comprehensive figure.

          Simply email a list of the artwork you wish appraised, with as much detail as you can give, i.e. title, artist, where the work was acquired and approx. age.  Include your name, address and telephone number. 

           We will prepare a letter for your insurance company.  This service is offered at a nominal cost, based on the number of pieces in your collection.

IF YOU HAVE SUFFERED A LOSS

          Email us with as much detail as you can.  Include your name, address and telephone number.   We will contact you to discuss how you would like the loss resolved.  If the loss is as a result of damage, we would need to see the damage in order to prepare a letter to your insurance adjuster stating exactly what the damage is and how it can be recitifed. 

          If your artwork is stolen, we will prepare a letter of your insurance adjuster, stating a replacement figure.

          We will proceed with procuring a replacement for you, if that is your wish.
