Glassware
|
The ancient art of glass blowing is used to create these beautiful pieces, each individual crafted through a process where molten glass is gathered on a hollow steel pipe like honey, then shaped, blown and reheated to form an art object or vessel form. James Clark, Jacqueline's husband and partner, moved to Saskatchewan from Billings, Montana. James, an innovative and technical individual, built the hot shop equipment under Jacqueline's guidance. There is none other like it in the Province. James has worked in the photographic field, metal and glass sculpting and blowing as well as equipment design.
Berting pieces have been selected as gifts for dignitaries across Canada, as well as heads to state of the Ukraine, Japan and members of the Royal Family. |
